Skiing in the Lech Valley

Skiing in the Lech Valley means no crowds, no noise, and plenty of space for families and skiers alike:

Unadulterated skiing pleasure is guaranteed in Stanzach. With 2 small lifts and 1 T-bar lift, as well as modern snow-making facilities and the illuminated Stoamandl slope, the Stanzach ski lifts are not only a popular family skiing area, here all skiers and snowboarders get their money's worth.

Family ski lifts Stanzach

In recent years Stanzach has become the ideal family skiing area with 2 small lifts and 1 T-bar lift. A modern snowmaking system will also ensure unclouded skiing pleasure on perfectly groomed slopes in the future. Furthermore, there is the possibility to indulge in skiing fun at the illuminated Stoammandl lift once a week!

In the village beginners have the possibility to book courses at the ski school. Whether traditional skiing, children's courses, snowboarding or carving, the Stanzach ski instructors know what you like.

Jöchelspitze Bach

The Jöchelspitze in Bach enchants with first-class slopes and a unique panoramic view of the Lech Valley. The two slopes (blue and red), accessible by a new 8-person gondola lift, are wide and therefore perfect for families who want to hone their technique in peace and quiet.

Hahnenkamm in Höfen

A family skiing area in the middle of the Reutte Nature Park region with challenges for the expert. Five kilometres of blue and nine kilometres of intermediate slopes await you in the high-altitude skiing area. With the Schollenwiesen lift and the children's practice lift near the valley station, ski beginners and children will find ideal conditions.

Berwang

 

The entrance to the family-friendly skiing and hiking area in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena is located directly on the Fernpass federal road; the skiing and hiking region is therefore also recommended for day trips. Warth-Schröcken

The Warth-Schröcken ski area is one of the largest in Austria and one of the top 5 in the world due to its integration into the Arlberg ski area and is one of the most snow-sure regions in the Alps.

Ski Arlberg

Ski Arlberg - that is skiing pleasure at the highest level. From St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben via Zürs and Lech to Schröcken and Warth: in Austria's largest interconnected ski area, which has been awarded top marks, more than 305 km of ski runs of all levels of difficulty and 87 lifts and cable cars are waiting to be conquered.

Tannheimertal

Along the 16 kilometres of the Tannheimer Tal and Jungholz you will find comfortable family slopes and steep downhill runs up to the FIS race course. Six ski schools teach skiing and snowboarding with about 100 certified ski instructors.

Cross-country skiing

There are three cross-country ski trails in Stanzach:
the 4.9 km long Lechtalloipe Stanzach - Forchach, the 5.5 km long Lechtalloipe Stanzach - Elmen and the 2.1 km long Rauth round.

Tobogganing

A racy toboggan run is part of every successful winter holiday in Stanzach! The Stanzach toboggan run is located directly at the beginning of the village at the Stoamandl lift. It is illuminated and can also be used in the evening. The hike from Elmen up to the sunny Stablalm at 1,411 m - the "balcony of the Lechtal" with a fabulous panoramic view - is also enchanting. Down the natural toboggan run provides perfect tobogganing fun for young and old!

Snowshoeing

Those who prefer to enjoy the winter landscape away from the slopes should definitely not miss out on a snowshoe hike. On remote paths you will experience the Lechtal winter magic up close.

Winter hiking

This is how breathtaking and beautiful the mountains are in winter! Countless cleared winter hiking trails lead through deep snow-covered forests, fields and an untouched landscape - here you will find peace and relaxation

Huts & Alps

In winter, the Lechtal Nature Park region harbours nine exquisite winter magic huts, which can be reached on cleared winter hiking trails. After a hike through the winter landscape, the joy of a hut that invites you to warm up and feel good is great. In addition, the huts offer wonderfully fragrant delicacies from Tyrolean cuisine.

Horse-drawn sleigh ride

A must for every winter holiday in the Lech valley is a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride. Wrapped up thick and in blankets, you can explore the enchanting winter idyll of the Lech valley.
